BELIEVE IN BIRTH classes are held on Sunday afternoons from 3-5 p.m. in my home, located in Northeast Jefferson County near The Summit Shopping Center and on Monday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at Babyology in St. Matthews. I ask that all students please arrive a few minutes early each week so that we can begin on time. We have a great deal of material to cover in each class.

You will need to bring 2 pillows to every class and wear comfortable clothing because we will be spending a lot of time on the floor practicing comfort measures and relaxation techniques.

BELIEVE IN BIRTH classes are limited to 8 couples per series. Early registration is recommended, as classes usually fill up quickly.

BELIEVE IN BIRTH classes are fun and interactive with a variety of activities to accommodate different learning styles. You won't have to endure two hours of me lecturing to you every week, I promise! Games, small group activities, role playing, "Musical Contractions" (aka Labor Rehearsals), videos, guest speakers, guided relaxations, hands-on demonstrations and lots of group discussions are what you will get with a BELIEVE IN BIRTH class, along with the most up-to-date, evidence-based information available!

Class Fees

The cost of a 9 week series of BELIEVE IN BIRTH classes is $195 and includes a course workbook (filled with the latest evidence-based information regarding pregnancy, labor and birth, breastfeeding and baby care) and all other necessary materials and handouts.

A $50 deposit is required to hold your spot in the class. The remaining balance ($145) is due at the first class, unless you make other arrangements with me in advance.

Some insurance companies may reimburse you for childbirth classes. The fee is also eligible for submission to medical flexible spending accounts. If the cost is a major hardship, please contact me to discuss a solution or possible scholarship opportunites.

I offer all former students a half price discount if they decide to take the class again as a refresher for their next birth!

BELIEVE IN BIRTH is a journey-centered childbirth method designed to empower and educate expectant parents to take ownership of their birth experiences. The BELIEVE IN BIRTH curriculum provides parents with the most up-to-date, evidence-based information available and advanced coping techniques for labor, allowing them to make informed decisions and have the safest, most satisfying birth experience possible.
