My Birth Stories

My name is Nicole Zirnheld Aldridge and this is my family!

My husband Michael and I have been married since 1996. We have three children – Jonah (age 10), Sadie (age 7) and Violet (age 3).

When I was pregnant with my son, Michael and I took Bradley Method® classes to prepare for a natural childbirth. It was exactly what we were looking for.

After I gave birth to my first daughter three years later, I began to think about becoming a Bradley® teacher. I started teaching Bradley® in November of 2003 and loved every minute of it! In 2010, I decided to develop my own natural childbirth curriculum called BELIEVE IN BIRTH. I am very excited to be able to offer this comprehensive and original class. My many years as a Bradley® instructor and birth doula have given me great insight and experience in teaching natural childbirth.

I believe that birth is a natural and normal event and that most women have the inner power and strength to give birth to their babies without drugs and interventions – especially with the proper knowledge and support.

I am very excited to be doing something that I am so passionate about and truly believe in. It is extremely rewarding to be a part of the miracle of bringing a new life into the world and to help other couples achieve a safe and joyful birth! I would love to help you have the safest and most rewarding birth experience possible and teach you to BELIEVE IN BIRTH.

Credentials

• BA, Western Kentucky University 1995
• Completed Bradley® Teacher Training and earned Provisional Affiliate status in October 2003
• Began student teaching in November 2003
• Received AAHCC Certification in May 2004
• Trained as a Birth Doula with DONA International in March 2005
• Recieved DONA Doula Certification in July 2005
• Attended Advanced Breastfeeding Workshop, September 2006
• Attended DONA approved Postpartum Doula Workshop, October 2006
• Attended Advanced Doula Workshop on TENS, September 2006
• Attended Advanced Doula Workshop on Optimal Fetal Positioning, September 2006
• Developed BELIEVE IN BIRTH curriculum and began teaching, August 2010
• Attended 78 births as a doula
• Trained over 200 couples in natural childbirth
